This piece was a lot of fun. I was still doing
the standard size of the marblescope kaleidoscope view at the time. I hadn't really started experimenting with
the effect of a shorter scope.
I used a discontinued, tiny 'Tree of Life' lampbase as the base of the jewelryeidoscope. The fairy with the bird in hand was so perfect to 'shoulder' the scope.
Then I used a JJ pin of a bunny and a gate, complete with a scene behind the gate. I soldered the gate so that it would continue to open and close.
The 'JJ' Jonette Jewelry Company was world renowned for their exquisite detail in their jewelry. Instantly collectible, with new releases over many years, they are now an extinct American company. Sadly they closed their doors
a few years ago.
They are an important representation of our society
and must be remembered.
I used the always fabulous Uroboros granite in soft, subtle colors of iridized blue, green and aqua for the scope.
I was also still using the clear patterned Dichroic glasses as the lens at this time. It's a lovely green/gold hearts.

The image disks for the jewelryeidoscopes have been created with magnificent, vintage faceted glass jewels from the 20th century in a wide range of cuts and colors.
These are jewels that were originally used in jewelry
pieces like 'Jelly Belly' brooches decades ago.
Amazing bold colors in hyacinth, ruby, sapphire, aquamarine, topaz, jonquil, capri, rose, pale rose, emerald, peridot, olivine, fuchsia, amethyst and so many more!
Then, for the final touch, on each image wheel, I add a Swarovski piece or two and a stray pearl
or other unique piece from last century...
