#17 Horologium de Solaris

This was the first piece where I began experimenting with customizing the length of the jewelryeidoscope. I chose a wonderful CBS Clear Teal/Pink Dichroic ripple glass for the scope portion and positioned it on top of a tall Uroboros granite violet blue and purple granite glass tower.

I had taken Latin in high school so I deliberately searched the web for a Latin Thesaurus. I happened upon a wonderful one at the Notre Dame website and used it to create the title 'Horologium de Solaris'. My translation is '...clock of the sun...'
It was meant to be a metaphor, in that we really need to recognize that '...time passes quickly...' and we need to seize the day.
