#22 Eye of the Beholder
I used a beautiful Tiffany art glass for the scope. I love the Uroboros granite textured glasses. They're always wonderful to work with.
This was a beautiful coloring of greens, browns and whites.

I really loved that the lizards were SO detailed.
Lizard, jewelry. Lizard, jewelry.

I liked it. I added a very old, still working brass bell and a totally awesome
pewter frog on a mushroom figurine.
He was perfect to 'balance' the lizard jewelryeidoscope...

Beauty comes in all forms...

What can I say? I like reptiles...I think they're cool.
Given my admiration and most peoples' dislike for reptiles,
it seemed natural to pair lizards with classic, elegant jewelry
to create a jewelry kaleidoscope.

Beauty really IS in the eye of the beholder.

I had chameleons when I was about 12.
I can remember convincing my Mom to hold one in her hand. And then...it took off, running up her shirt...leaping into her curls. It was the seventies, so the hair style was 'big' huge curls piled on top of your head. I'll never forget the image of seeing my chameleon darting in and out of different 'curls'. And, of course Mom was screaming hysterically and I was screaming hysterically, "Don't hurt my lizard! Don't hurt my lizard!"

Now that I look back, I don't think she ever held another one of my animals. Hmmm.

I suppose now really isn't the time to talk about the time I brought home a nest of baby copperhead snakes... Hahaha, true.
