#24 Doggie Den of inEquity...
"Doggie Den of inEquity" is an original, one of a kind,
stained glass jewelryeidoscope, which is a kaleidoscope created with vintage 20th century items...
With the mortgage crisis that has been impacting
everyone, it seemed VERY fitting to make
'Doggie Den of inEquity' the first piece to be offered.
Greed, corruption and devastating job losses have put a
large percentage of the people in the doghouse...

As I began to create this piece, I kept picturing a doghouse with a small scope on top as a coil. I used patterned Dichroic glass in dazzling rainbow colors for the scope.
For the image wheel I used vintage 40 - 60 year old faceted glass jewels in amazing colors of hyacinth, ruby, emerald, aquamarine, sapphire, amethyst and more!
Simply turn the wheel, look thru the top quality front surface
mirror inner chamber, and you'll have unlimited kaleidoscopic
views that will take your breath away.
After building the doghouse, scope and base, I began
to place all of the vintage dogs. The dogs were of different
mediums. Some were porcelain, cast iron or pewter.
The dachsunds and the yorkie pins I used were from
the JJ Jonette Company.
The JJ Jonette Company was world renowned for their exquisite detail in their jewelry. Instantly collectible, they are now an extinct American company. Sadly they closed
their doors a few years ago. Their legacy in jewelry
design has made their work highly prized.
