This was the first art sculpture I made that didn't have a jewelryeidoscope as part of it. As I worked on
this piece it evolved into how,
with us, or without, life will go on...
The 'Peace' ring from the sixties was perfect...
Without saying anything, I wanted this piece to instantly convey that man was gone and that life had
continued on without us.
"Hmmm...man was here only a moment ago."
When I received the pewter fairy riding the wolf from silverglitter57,
I was so thrilled that I immediately stopped what I was doing and ran
to the work table.
First, I made the 5-sided tower using Uroboros Black Fibroid.
Next, I used the always fantastic CBS Black Ripple Dichroic for the land and a scrap edge of a lovely blue/green Black Dichroic for the water.
For quite awhile I had had an image in my mind of an owl perched on a overturned chair to represent that 'we' were gone...
That was why I was so excited when the fairy riding the wolf arrived.
I knew that now was the time for the owl and the chair.
I had a lot of pleasure creating this piece and especially in adding 20th century treasures that ranged from vintage clip-on earrings to
barrettes to pewter miniatures to a
stunning Watermelon Rivoli brooch and much more!
