#51 Heaven's Playground...
Sellers I used to create this piece:
The vintage pewter Tree with the swinging child on a tire was the perfect base to perch the kaleidoscope, and was the beginning of this piece. I picked a lovely Kokomo glass in pink and blue because I knew it would be a piece about children...
It stayed like this in my mind until sadly, tragically a child lost his life, in the blink of an eye. There was no blame to be had, it was simply a horrible accident that will have forever changed all who knew this precious little boy.
I knew instantly that this was the piece I wanted to give and hopefully bring some small measure of comfort. That one day, having suffered such a loss, they would be able to smile wistfully, and remember those magical times, and realize the gift of having had this perfect little child, for so many small perfect moments...
In my mind I could see a playground in the heavens... where children are playing, puppies are romping, and kittens are
purring. A lovely place where for fun, you paint stars and have conversations with the moon, whilst giggling amid the rainbow jewelled essence of heaven's majesty. A wondrous delight,
where all innocent little souls go...
