The idea of using items bought from sellers on Ebay really took hold of me on this scope...
I used thin clear patterned Zebra Stripe Dichroic for the lens...Next, I used
a beautiful CBS Magenta/Cyan Ripple on black Dichroic for the scope.
Dichroic glasses are the 'gold' of all
glasses and are what jewelry designers use. Totally awesome, awesome glasses.
If you look at the glass head-on it could be blue. But, if you move a little to your left it could turn pink or green or gold! But, by nighttime it could appear a stunning gold!
Definitely the perfect glass for the scopes!
I had recently bought the pewter lobster and it was perfect to hold the weight of the scope. Next I added the pewter seahorse and the mini crabs and starfish scrapbooking charms.
I figured I was finished and then happened upon the Octopus pin and the final piece was a lovely vintage cloisonne tropical fish brooch.
